BEF 19 MAY 1834 - Lancaster, VA
Elizabeth Y. BellElizabeth Y. Bell >> Urbane Bush >> Robert Bush >> John Bush >> Savilla Bush >> Maida George
Elizabeth married Thomas Bush. A marriage license bond was issued on February 18th, 1817. Richard Cockarill provided the security and her father gave written permission, indicating she was under 21. Thomas and Elizabeth had four children before her death, including a daughter also named Elizabeth Y.
On May 19th, 1834 an entry in the Lancaster County Order book recorded all the living heirs of Sgt. Thomas Bell. Elizabeth was not listed, but her four children were. Also listed as an heir was Thomsey R. Thomas. In October of that same year Thomas Bush remarried to Thomsey. It seems likely that Thomsey was a widowed sister of Elizabeth Y. There is a marriage record in Northumberland County on December 22nd, 1813 for George Thomas and Tomsey Bell of Wicomico Parish, security by Thomas F. Lunsford.
